Broad laboratory testing under one roof
Samui Home Clinic runs a wide range of laboratory examinations, so you rarely need a hospital referral. Give a sample at the clinic — or ask our team to draw it at your hotel — and a doctor reviews the results with you. Most tests are reported quickly and clearly, in language you can actually understand.

Allergy screening and food-intolerance testing
Struggling to pin down what's triggering symptoms? We offer both true allergy screening and IgG food-intolerance testing.
Allergy screening
Panels for inhaled allergens, food allergens and paediatric allergens — to identify what your immune system reacts to.
Food-intolerance panel
A broad IgG panel covering dairy and egg, fish and seafood, fruit, grains, wheat, herbs and spices, meat, nuts and vegetables — to help you find foods that quietly disagree with you.
Allergy and food-intolerance testing measure different things. A doctor helps you read the results and turn them into a practical plan — not just a list.
Before your test
How to prepare
Some tests need you to fast; many don't. As a general guide:
- For blood sugar and cholesterol tests, fast for 8–10 hours beforehand — an overnight fast is easiest.
- Small sips of plain water are fine during the fast. Avoid juice, tea and coffee.
- Not every test needs fasting. Tell us which test you need and we'll confirm exactly how to prepare before you come in.

Laboratory testing FAQs
No hospital referral is needed. You can message us to book a time, and one of our doctors can order the right tests for you. Walk-ins are welcome too, though booking ahead means less waiting.
It depends on the test. Blood sugar and cholesterol tests need an 8–10 hour fast; many other tests don't. Tell us which test you need and we'll confirm exactly how to prepare.
Many results are ready the same day and a doctor reviews them with you. Some specialised tests take a little longer — we'll tell you the timing upfront and can send results by message.
An allergy test looks for an immune reaction that can cause immediate symptoms, while an IgG food-intolerance panel looks for foods linked to slower, low-grade reactions. They answer different questions — a doctor helps you choose the right one and interpret it.
